Sunset Point is nestled approximately half way between Bar Harbor and Eastport and easily passed by, by travelers in a rush. Located on tidal shores and only 3 miles off Rte 1 we offer campers to stop and smell the roses. The country atmosphere, the scenic downeast coastal setting and a host with a personal touch will make this stop a memorable one. Easy in easy out and pull thrus that accommodate any vehicle length will make this a hassle free overnight stay. Walk along the shore, smell the ocean and observe clam diggers and lobster fishermen do their daily chores. Well kept grounds, clean restrooms, kiddie corner and a good selection of books in our swap library might make this your destination to visit destinations. Within an hour’s drive you can visit Bar Harbor, Lubec, Petit Manan Wildlife Preserve, Rogue Bluffs State Park and Fishing Villages such as Jonesport, Winter Harbor, Prospect Harbor or take a ride on the world famous Cat.
