If you are looking for a campground that attracts campers who prefer old-fashioned laid back camping, you are invited to "Loon Echo Family Campground". We offer quiet nature-oriented camping, 900' on unspoiled Parlin Lake, away from crowds. Experience our friendly atmosphere, cozy private, treed, sites that welcome you with flowers and plants. Enjoy our newest 12 by 12 camping cabin, "The Tuck Inn" or the 8 by 8 "Loon Nest" for comfortable sleeping inside. Both are waterfront sites. Our shower house is clean with free hot showers and indoor facilities. For activities, take a short hike to Parlin Falls and experience the thrill of a slide into a natural pool. Also enticing are numerous mountain hikes and other water falls for all levels of hikers. We are a short distance to Canada or the Moosehead Lake region for day trips. Jackman is 12 miles north of us and you will find more hiking and biking, pristine lakes and fine restaurants. Looking for moose and other wildlife is sure to add excitement to your stay at "Loon Echo" Canoe or Kayak the lake and stop for a swim at a remote sandy beach. Fly fishing for trout and salmon is the highlight in the spring into early July.
