Homestead by the River "Family"Campground, is family owned and operated. We are a campground not a camping resort! Our sites are spacious, pull thru sites are 30' wide by 100' long, full hook up's 35' wide by 75' long. Tent sites are located away from the RV sites, with both sunny and shaded sites. Three tent sites down by the river and the rest overlooking the river! We have the Saco River to swim in and tube down, not a pool! We have the river to fish in, not a stocked pond! We have canoes and kayaks for you to rent.
Old Orchard Beach is 10 minutes away, plus other wonderful beaches which are less crowded! You can buy your own lobsters and clams from the fisherman's consortium at Pine Point, then bring them back and cook them yourself. We are located 10 minutes from Fun Town/Splash Town, Saco Drive in Movie Theater, Aquaboggan, Crazy Golf, Candle Pin Bowling, Farm stands and Ice Cream stands. Kennebunkport (for whale watching) is 45 minutes away as is LL Bean in Freeport. The White Mountains are worth the drive.
