Lily Bay State Park is located 9 miles north of Greenville, Maine on the eastern shores of magnificent Moosehead Lake. The Park has a generous expanse of 925 acres easily providing for its 90 mixed tent and RV semi-private and well maintained campsites; including 38 waterfront sites (No Hookups). With 117 square miles of water and hundreds of miles of rugged shoreline, Moosehead is the largest lake in New England. Visitors of the Park are treated to a full array of fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. The Park and surrounding region offer exceptional wildlife and scenic landscape viewing opportunities. Anglers come to the area to fish for native Brook Trout, Land Locked Salmon, Lake Trout (Togue) and Smallmouth Bass. The Park has several miles of walking trails and is the gateway for various exceptional day hikes in the neighboring territory. The Park hosts a spacious beach complete with a playground, picnic tables, grills, room to recreate and slips available for visitors with all size watercraft. The Park’s Comfort Station provides visitors with the comforts of a hot shower and bathroom facilities 24 hours a day. The Park also has firewood and ice available at our entrance booth. You will find a friendly staff and rangers at the Park from mid-May through mid-October. During the Winter season trails remain groomed for cross-country skiing and snow shoeing.
Park visitors may want to consider a day trip or remote camping experience at Mount Kineo State Park located 12 miles north of Lily Bay by boat or 35 miles by car. Those traveling by car will need to take a one mile commercial ferry ride to the Park. Mt. Kineo offers miles of exceptional hiking along as 800′ cliff and a lookout tower with 360 degree views. 4 remote waterfront sites lie on the north end of the Park and are non-reservable/first come first serve. The sites have tables, fire pits and shared outhouse.
