Aroostook State Park: Maine’s first State Park is located on Echo Lake, 5 miles south of Presque Isle. It is a great destination point to exploring the largest county in Maine. Popular activities included hiking Quaggy Jo Mountain which offers outstanding views, brook trout fishing, bird watching, and bike riding. The small campground offers 30 sites, showers, and a kitchen shelter. There is two group areas which can accommodate organized group camping. One of these is remote with an Adirondack shelter. The day use area offers picnic areas, a beach with no lifeguards, canoe and kayak rentals, and a boat launch area. Groomed cross-country ski trails, snowshoeing, and winter camping is available in the winter. For more information please call (207) 768-8341. Where friends meet-My Brother’s Place Campground. We are located in Houlton, Maine, only 2 miles from New Brunswick, Canada. Crossing the border you to the welcome center of New Brunswick for all the information on the Maritimes, as well as currency exchange. Continuing a few miles to Woodstock you have the Trans Canada Highway #2 that gets you east or west to your destination.

From the time you enter My Brother’s Place Campground, you will be struck by the beauty and cleanliness. We have put extra effort into every aspect of our park, from our spacious grass sites and paved roads to our clean bathhouse, laundry and recreation room. You will enjoy a most pleasant and relaxing stay.

Most of our sites are pull-throughs. Our rec room and dining room is available for “groups” to have breakfast, lunch or dinner as well as dances, reunions and get-togethers.

On your next trip to northern Maine pull in to My Brothers Place and see for yourself why you are a stranger here only once.

We are easy to find. From I-95, exit 302, go north on US1. We are less than 2 miles on the right. You are welcome to stay as long as you like. We are here for you.
